Coco the missing African Grey parrot

Coco flew out of her home in Oxford Street, Colne, after being spooked by builders rattling ladders outside.

Owner Kairen Wilson had no time to stop the bird which flew out of a door that had been opened for just a few seconds. Tame and not confined to a cage, Coco has never flown out of her home before.

And although there have not been any reports of sightings of Coco, several people have said they have heard the distinctive sounds she makes. including a telephone ringing, a smoke alarm and also her own name.

Kairen said: "As time goes on hope is fading but I am hoping that Coco has found food and refuge somewhere and that she is spotted and returned home to me." i have been out looking for her all over the place."

Coco is around 14 years old and light grey coloured with a red tail.

Anyone with information about Coco is asked to ring Kairen on 01282 867719.
