Altham designer shortlisted
The design manager for an Altham company has been shortlisted as Businesswoman of the Year in this yer’s Be Inspired Business Awards.
Helen Harker, design manager for Altham uniform supplier Simon Jersey, has worked for the company for more than 25 years creating uniforms for companies including Emirates Airlines, Argos and Hertz.
In 2014, Helen’s designs saw the business secure a multi-million pound contract – the biggest in its history – as well as the agreement to supply Team GB with formal suiting and parade wear for the closing ceremony of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, putting Lancashire on the world stage when Helen’s designs are seen by up to a billion people worldwide.
The BIBAs take place in September.
