Sandwiches, cakes and scones all went down a treat at the Accrington Road eatery as £196 was raised courtesy of a raffle and ‘Guess the Weight of the Cake’ competition.

At the end of April, 22 members will travel to Burnley’s twinned town Vitr-sur-Seine, staying in the homes of their French hosts for five days.

This year is the Diamond Anniversary of Burnley being twinned with Vitry and more events to celebrate the occasion are being planned.
