From family days out in Blackpool to peaceful walks in the beautiful Lancashire countryside, the county offers something for everyone.
We asked residents why Lancashire is the best place to live in the UK.
In no particular order, this is what they said:

21. Winter Gardens Blackpool
Hollywood stars such as Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and Bob Hope have all graced the Opera House stage, and more recently, the likes of Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Ronan Keating, Peter Kay and Will Young have performed to sell-out audiences here. | Contributed

22. Coral Island
Coral Island is Blackpool's largest indoor free admission family attraction. | Contributed

23. Lancashire cheese
Lancashire is an English cow's-milk cheese. There are three distinct varieties of Lancashire cheese. Young Creamy Lancashire and mature Tasty Lancashire are produced by a traditional method, whereas Crumbly Lancashire is a more recent creation suitable for mass production. | Contributed

24. Notarianni's Ice Cream
The shop was set up in Blackpool in 1928 by Luigi Notarianni, whose home-made ice cream sundaes were an instant hit with holidaymakers. The small family-run business uses the same secret recipe that has been passed down through four generations, using fresh locally sourced dairy products. | Contributed
