Amazon has introduced its all-new Echo Show 10, featuring a complete redesign, enhanced audio, more powerful hardware, and experiences that make Alexa even smarter, more engaging and helpful.
The Echo Show 10 is a re-imagination of Alexa with a screen, featuring a 10-inch, adaptive HD display, which automatically stays in view as you move around the room. For conversations with friends and family, the 13-megapixel, wide-angle camera, keeps you centre of frame, making it as natural as having a conversation in person.
The new device has been designed with connection front of mind, with additional features never before seen in the range. New Alexa Group Calling means you can create a group of up to eight friends and family members for the next catch up or birthday, and say: “Alexa, call my family” to connect with them all.
Echo Show 10 will also rotate as people watch news, flash briefings, or TV shows from streaming services, including Prime Video.
Eric Saarnio, Vice President Amazon Devices EU, says: “These are the best Echo devices we have ever made, and the Echo Show 10 completely reimagines Alexa with a screen—the display moves with you, staying in view as you move around. It’s as natural as having a conversation. Plus, Alexa continues to get smarter—just ask to watch Netflix, make group calls and much more.”
As with all Echo devices, Echo Show 10 is designed and built with privacy in mind - from microphone and camera controls to the ability to view and delete voice recordings, customers have transparency and control over their Alexa experience.
Turn motion off at any time by sliding the built-in camera cover closed, adjusting settings on-device or in the Alexa app, or just by saying “Alexa, turn off motion.”
Privacy controls also include the ability to automatically delete voice recordings as soon as Alexa processes the request across all Alexa-enabled devices.
As well as making these controls easier to use, customers can now ask Alexa, “How can I can review my privacy settings?”, “How do I manage my data?” and “How do I turn off the camera?”
By asking this, customers will be able to learn about how the different privacy features work and choose the privacy options that are right for them across all Alexa-enabled devices.
With the Alexa Privacy Hub, you can find out about controls and access how-to guides, making it easy to personalise and manage your own privacy settings.
