Former Corrie star Natalie Gumede may have to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing

Strictly Come Dancing’s hot favourite Natalie Gumede may have to pull out of next week’s show due to a back injury.

There is speculation that the former Colne Park High School student fell over while practising the quickstep.

Reports are stating that the 29-year-old, who topped the leaderboard on Saturday with her polished rumba, went for an MRI scan yesterday and is now awaiting medical opinion on whether she is able to continue with her training.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Burnley-born star’s professional partner Artem Chigvintsev (31) said: “We had to finish rehearsals early on Tuesday because of the pain in her back - if it is serious she may not be able to continue in the competition.”

If she recovers in time, Natalie will be performing to Yeah by Usher on Saturday.
