From beloved locals at which you’ve been a committed regular for decades, to innovative new establishments famed for their new-fangled draught ales and quirky features, there really is a pub for everyone in our wonderful county.
When it comes to a pub’s beverage offerings, however, there really is no better or more thorough barometer of quality than the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) and its annual Good Beer Guide.
Countless boozers dream of the day they are included in the prestigious tome, which adds not only a certain gravitas to their status as a proper watering hole, but it also means that dedicated drinkers will inevitably seek your establishment out to try it for themselves.
With that in mind, we’ve collated all the lists of regional pubs included in the 2025 CAMRA Good Beer Guide to produce a list of the Preston, Chorley, Blackburn, Pendle, and Blackpool pubs included in this year’s guide.
Check out the full list below - how many have you visited?

41. Flat Iron (21 Cleveland Street, PR7 1BH)
This is a smart town-centre pub and part of the growing real ale scene in Chorley. It featured in the very first CAMRA Guide in 1974 when it was described as a ‘true drinker’s pub’ and served beers from Tetley Walker in Warrington. These days, expect to find up to five cask ales with one regular beer, White Rat, plus four changing beers sourced within a 50-mile radius. Real cider on handpump and beer tasting paddles are also available. With multiple TVs around the pub, expect to see regular televised sport. | Google Maps

42. Malt ’n’ Hops (50-52 Friday Street, PR6 0AA)
Converted from an old shop in 1989, the pub is close to the town’s railway and bus stations. Seating is on two levels, with a bright yet traditional feel and a pleasant beer garden. A genuine free house with up to nine guest ales (including a regular mild) served from a single Lshaped bar, usually from Lancashire and Yorkshire micros including Rat, Wily Fox, Ossett, Elland, Lancaster, Fernandes, Goose Eye and Blackedge. Good-value filled rolls and pork pies are available. A former local and regional CAMRA Pub of the Year. | Google Maps

43. Mason’s Arms (98 Harpers Lane, PR6 0HU)
A light and airy, yet cosy pub, with a reputation for good beer, a mile from the town centre. The taproom has five changing ales available at any one time, sourced mainly from north-west micros, but beers from further afield are also sold. The taproom and two distinctive lounges, both with wood-burning stoves, are markedly different drinking areas, and there is a partly covered beer garden to the rear. Pizzas are served 5-8pm Wednesday-Sunday. | Google Maps

44. Riley's Taproom and Wine Bar (Victoria Buildings, 4 Cleveland Street, PR7 1BH)
Riley’s opened in 2021 in premises previously used as a greengrocer’s. They specialise in craft ales and fine wines and there is a comfortable atmosphere with plenty of seating inside. Ten keg lines serve a range of craft beers sourced mainly from local breweries, which include some real ales and real cider, which are dispensed through membrane keg, along with three handpumps for cask ale enthusiasts. A full beer menu is provided on a screen behind the bar. Cold platters are available at all times, subject to availability. | Google Maps
