Dean’s Bakery, Blackpool Road, Ashton, Preston Everyone loves a good bakers and if you’ve grown up in and around Preston, it’s more than likely at some point you’ve had a loaf, a pie, a butty or a sweet treat from Dean’s. It’s their butter pies and potato and meat pies that are most popular. Paul’s Pies, Fishergate Hill, Preston After being well known for his work at Pennington’s bakery, on Chorley Road for the past 12 years, Paul Addison finally took the plunge last month and opened his own shop in Preston. His plan is to keep it simple and offer value for money. He offers British favourites, from meat and potato, butter pies, and Lancashire hotpot. And they are already proving to be very popular with customers far and wide - rave reviews are coming in thick and fast - and often selling out quickly.
