There was a raffle with prizes donated by several local businesses and Tesco Express provided presents for the children along with raffle prizes and wine.

All funds raised were donated to the charity to support its vital work in protecting and improving the lives of children around the world.

Lydia Spencer-Plumb, nursery Manager, said: “The event linked closely to the curriculum. Children developed their personal, social, and emotional skills through turn-taking, sharing and engaging in group experiences. Communication and language skills were supported through interactions with peers, families and staff.

“The day also helped to build awareness of the wider world, introducing the children to the idea of helping others globally and fostering empathy and kindness. The day was a great success. It brought the community together, promoted inclusivity and provided a meaningful learning experience for the children while raising money for an important cause.”
