Kay Wilson (nee Riley) originally from Clitheroe, whose mother Sheila and family still reside in the town, will join the family business while Funeral Director Rosie Priestner takes time out for maternity leave.

Kay, who attended St James Primary School and Ribblesdale High School, then moved to Rishton to settle into married life, said: “I’m honoured to be able to return to my roots, to help support local families. Some of whom are known to me personally through my childhood and the many years I spent growing up in the town, into my adult years.

“Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley has always had a special place in my heart, and I feel very privileged to be supporting bereaved families in the coming months.”

Clitheroe Funeral Service’s Funeral Director Rosie Priestner added: “Kay’s experience as a fellow Funeral Director, with her knowledge of the local area, will be extremely valuable going forward as I take my maternity leave.”
