Clitheroe cycle challenge - call for riders to sign up now
The event will take place on July 31st. There is a a 100-mile or a 100km route, both setting out from Clitheroe’s Roefield Sports and Leisure Centre.
The route heads into the Yorkshire Dales and takes in areas of Bowland Forest and the Ribble Valley, as well as part of southern Cumbria, on the longer version.

Hide AdMark Trott, UK cycling development manager at Action Medical Research, said: “Your stamina and fitness will be tested. If it’s been a long time since you’ve done any exercise, start off with short rides. By the end of July you’ll be fit and ready to join us.”
Participants will raise money to help fund medical research into conditions affecting babies and children.
Research currently being supported by Action Medical Research includes work around premature birth, cerebral palsy, meningitis and epilepsy, as well as some very rare and distressing conditions that severely affect children.
