Cheers to expansion


Burnley’s internationally acclaimed cask brewer has now opened its 1,000-barrels-a-week “tower brewery” which will treble present production capacity for the famous Pendle Witches brands.
The complex will replace the brewery’s 19th Century built home in Moorhouse Street, and double the workforce to more than 40 employees.

Hide AdNow three key appointments have further strengthened the business development team as the Accrington Road brewer prepares its future marketing strategy.
Mr Mike Hiscock, national sales manager, said: “We now have a first class team in place to build sales in the free trade and with wholesalers and pub companies as the new brewery is poised to open for business.”
Mr Stuart Hayes (34) will develop business in Cheshire and further south. He was previously marketing manager with Wise Move Homes and sales manager for Right Move Abroad.
Nicola Harrison (33) will handle the Manchester area. She has held positions with Croston Communications and with Virgin and Easy Jet.

Hide AdMr Sam Johnson (31) will cover West Lancashire, the Fylde and Cumbria. He has worked with Principal Business Promotions and Thomson Local. He is a former manager of the Flambe cocktail bar in Lytham.
The three join Mr Glenn Wright, covering the Trough of Bowland, Burnley and Blackburn, and Mr Simon Oates in Yorkshire. Mr Hiscock heads the team and handles national accounts.
