Armed police and helicopter sent to major incident in Burnley

Armed police are at what appears to be a serious incident in Stroyan Street, Burnley.

Nine police cars, fire crews, a North West Air Ambulance and armed police officers have made their way into a terrace property.

It is unclear as to what's happened, however, earlier reports suggest there has been a stabbing. More details will be confirmed and appear on this website.

An eyewitness told the Express: "A man threw an egg at a car, the vehicle slammed on pulled over, as the guy who through the egg ran into his house. The guy in the car ran in after him. Then all the armed police turned up."
