A team of policemen from Kirkham are all set to attempt a gruelling challenge for charity. The six officers are due to undertake the Three Peaks Challenge in the Lake District, to raise money for three Kirkham projects. Policemen Andy Scarisbrick, Mark Tinsley, Russ Farrand, Steve Hardman, Paul Edson and Dave Finney get ready for the challenge

One of Oscar Wilde's most famous comedies is being revived by Leyland-based Dark House Theatre Company. Cast members, pictured above, are busy rehearsing The Importance of Being Earnest, to be presented at Worden Arts and Crafts Centre in Leyland

The leaving class of Cottam Nursery School performed two plays for staff, parents and fellow pupils. Spaceships Come to Cottam was the title of the first play. That was followed by a version of the Old MacDonald nursery rhyme. The casts of both plays are pictured above
