Blackpool's noisy Golden Mile and show business circuit are not the beginning or end of the escape route to holiday making enjoyment. At the opposite end of the scale to the din of the Pleasure Beach and bustle on the promenade there was the tranquility and silence of Palatine School while the British Chess Federation national championships congress was being held
