Three more Covid deaths in Pendle but figures are falling

New cases of Covid-19 have gone down again in Pendle, but three more people from the borough have died from the virus.

The latest figures for this week also again show that the highesgt number of infections came from the 30-39 age group.

There were 164 new cases this week meaning an overall infection rate of 178 per 100,000 people in the borough.

There have now been 9,146 cases in the borough.

Sadly, three people from Pendle died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19, meaning 228 people have now died in total.

Pendle Council is urging people to keep following the lockdown restrictions, stay safe rules and advice to help us continue to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
