Dress-down day gets a thumbs-up from hospice

A dress-down day saw Burnley work colleagues raise £500 for Pendleside Hospice.

Pendleside Hospice received £500 from Sagar

Sagar Insurance, based at Shuttleworth Mead, Padiham, matched the £250 raised by colleagues towards the hospice.

Catherine McNabb, corporate account executive, said: “Colleagues here at Sagar like to support local charities and we decided to support one of our favourites, Pendleside Hospice, with our dress-down day contributions. We were delighted to have the staff contributions matched by Sagar.”

Christina Cope, head of Corporate Fundraising at Pendleside, said “On behalf of Pendleside I would like to say a big thank you to all the team at Sagar. As a firm they have supported us previously with sponsorships and donations and continue to do so and we are very grateful."
