These are the Burnley areas with the highest infection rates as lockdown begins

Earlier this week reported that infections rates had fallen in every part of Lancashire, with Rossendale, Blackpool, Ribble Valley, West Lancashire, Burnley and Lancaster seeing the biggest rate change.

Burnley has four neighbourhoods with a coronavirus rate of over 400 new cases in every 100,000 people according to the latest Public Health England data.

Figures from Public Health England show the seven-day rolling rate of new cases up to 30 October.

The infection rate across Burnley as of 30 October, ranges from 203.9 per 100,000 people, to above600 in one area.

The seven–day rates are expressed per 100,000 population and are calculated by dividing the seven day count by the area population and multiplying by 100,000, the government health body have said.
