Police monitoring residents' park trips across Burnley and Padiham to make sure they are 'essential' as first weekend of lockdown begins
Police officers have been in the community monitoring people who are out today to ensure they are following government guidelines during the first weekend of the coronavirus lockdown.
Posters have been put up aross Burnley and Padiham reminding people to ensure their trip to the park is essential.
The strict measures come as thousands of people across the UK were pictured this week gathering in groups and driving to beauty spots and parks to go for the walks.
