Insisting that the most trying times of national crisis can bring out the best in people, Petty Real have committed to a fundraising campaign throughout the rest of the year in order to raise the funds for the invaluable hospice, which serves the community and enhances the quality of life for those with life-limiting illnesses.

In recognition of the fact that the work the hospice does is far broader in scope than most of us are aware including counselling and therapy for the bereaved, Petty Real are on a mission to do their part for Pendleside, which receives just 22% of its running costs from the Clinical Commissioning Group.

"We've been supporting Pendleside Hospice for years but at this time of national crisis it seems even more important to support brilliant organisations like this," said Ian Bythell, Director at Petty Real. "We wanted to make a really big impact to show them how much we appreciate the work they do.

"That's why we're making a donation to the hospice for every property we sell this year, residential and commercial," Ian added, with Petty having taken part in numerous other fundraising events for Pendleside in the past, including the Great North Run in 2018. "The aim is to reach and exceed £10,000 by Christmas."

Lisa Pearson, Head of Income Generation for Pendleside, commented: "Pendleside makes such a positive impact on people's lives and relationships. Husbands, wives, sons, and daughters who are also carers have so much to worry about [and] the hospice gives them back the opportunity to enjoy their relationship.

"Companies like Petty Real make it possible for us to do that and to help over 1,500 individuals a year," Lisa added.
