Heasandford Primary School, Williams Road, recently had a series of playground markings installed by ESP Play. As part of the installation ESP offered the school a Primary PE specialist every Thursday for the school year.

Since the outbreak of Covid-19 it is widely accepted that children and people of all ages are doing less exercise. Obesity levels are rising more rapidly than previously seen.

Headteacher Mrs Jackie Hall said: "The sessions that Neil runs are really important to help our children maintain their fitness levels. We are encouraging use of the ESP playground markings during the sessions, which means they’re also used much more at playtimes."

ESP Play was established in Burnley over 20 years ago and have transformed over 2,500 playgrounds in that time. The company's ‘Famous Five’ multi-skills playground markings are a key part of what they offer to schools looking to improve levels of fitness for the children.
