PEMFIT owner Scott Byrom and his team were joined by around 130 walkers, and dogs, for the trek that began at Wills Bar in Barrowford and followed a scenic route through Barrowford, Roughlee and Pendle before returning back to Barrowford, with a few pit stops at various pubs along the way.
Everyone received a free t-shirt and the day was rounded off with a social night at Will’s. Scott organised the event with help from John Roche from Pendle and Burnley Grand Prix who also provided entertainment as the DJ for the evening. Funds were boosted with a raffle, which included a star prize of a five-night motorhome stay courtesy of Sharlyn Motorhomes. PEMFIT has thanked sponsors, including Will’s, Farnworth Rose, Short & Co Lawncare, BTB Hub, Optimal Hydration, Hycaero and Lancashire Sports Repairs.
The walk was part of the hospice corporate challenge and Scott revealed more events are in the pipeline. PEMFIT stands for pulsed electromagnetic field therapy and is a cutting edge wellness technology that harnesses the power of soothing pulses to energise cells and enhance recovery and wellbeing.
Scott added: “Our inspiration is just to support our community. At PEMFIT our motto is to energise life. We have many clients who have come to us in the past with cancer-related illnesses and symptoms. This is just one way for us to show our support in such a beautiful community. “
