Hanna's self-portrait is a national hit

A creative little girl at a Burnley primary school has finished second in a national painting competition.

St Joseph's Park Hill reception class pupil Hanna finished in second place in the ISA National Art Competition for her self-portrait.

Hanna won first prize in the North ISA competition and went forward to represent the North in the National Finals.

A school spokesman said: "We are delighted and very proud that her talent has been recognised. Mrs Susana Hannah, our art subject leader presented Hanna with her certificate and prize.

"Hanna was also a winner in our recent library wall art competition, with her wonderful painting of the Owl Babies, which has now been painted onto our school library wall."
