Burnley College Science and Technology Festival returns for 2026

Families from across Lancashire are being invited to enjoy a free day of discovery, entertainment and hands-on learning as the Burnley College Science and Technology Festival returns later this month.

The popular annual event will take place on Saturday, June 27th, from 10am to 3pm, offering a packed programme of activities designed to inspire curiosity in science, technology, engineering and the arts.

Among the headline attractions is the return of Titan the Robot, the larger-than-life performer who won over audiences on Britain's Got Talent. Festival-goers will have the chance to see Titan take to the stage with a series of interactive performances throughout the day.

Young dinosaur enthusiasts can also look forward to meeting a range of prehistoric creatures, from speedy raptors to towering diplodocuses, in what organisers promise will be a "roar-some" experience.

Visitors will be able to get up close to a variety of animals at Emily's Mini Farm, while younger children can take part in science-themed arts and crafts activities designed to encourage creativity and learning.

The festival will also feature a fantasy fairground with rides and games for all ages, alongside a range of food and drink stalls offering everything from sweet treats to hearty meals.

Burnley College says the event aims to inspire the next generation by combining education with family entertainment in an engaging and accessible way.

The festival has proved popular in previous years, with one parent commenting on social media after last year's event: “We had such a brilliant time. There was so much to do, we didn't want to leave. Can't wait to come back next year.”

Admission is free and no booking is required.
