'Nourished Heart' workshop to support children’s wellbeing in Rosegrove
A new initiative aimed at supporting children’s emotional wellbeing is launching in Burnley.
The Nourished Heart – Children’s Wellbeing Workshop was an eight-week programme designed to help children aged seven to 13 build confidence, resilience and a strong sense of self-belief. The workshop provides a safe and nurturing space where children can explore their emotions, develop positive self-esteem and learn valuable life skills.
Through engaging and creative activities, participants are supported to strengthen emotional confidence, practise positive self-talk and develop kindness towards themselves and others. The programme also encourages creative expression as a way for children to communicate and process their thoughts and feelings.
The next two workshops taking place on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 7pm will focus on the “Let’s Talk About Teeth” project, helping children learn about oral health, hygiene and building positive habits for lifelong wellbeing.

The initiative is being delivered by Rosegrove Neighbourhood Watch, working in partnership with organisations committed to improving community wellbeing.
Support for the project has been provided by Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale CVS, Social Prescribing, NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board, Nurturing Change and Rosegrove Railway Club.
A spokesperson from Rosegrove Neighbourhood Watch said: “We are proud to bring The Nourished Heart workshop to our community. Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing at an early age is vital, and this programme creates a safe, nurturing space where young people can build confidence, resilience and a positive sense of self.”
The workshop highlights the importance of early emotional wellbeing support and aims to equip children with lifelong tools to navigate challenges and build healthy relationships.
