Burnley church celebrating the success of its Lego Cafe

A Burnley church is celebrating the success of its Lego Cafe.

Mount Zion Church in Cliviger opens its doors to dozens of children and adults on regular Saturday afternoons, eager to see what they can create.

Kathy Rhodes runs the sessions with a group of helpers.

“It is a really successful way of getting all ages into the church,” said Kathy.

“Each group can make what they want, but we have lots of sets to build models, plus items for grown-ups.

“We love seeing families and groups in the church, and the regular attenders of our group thoroughly enjoy the time together.

“We have been given so many Lego bricks - and more donations come regularly. We always have as many tables up as we can get in the main room, each with a large selection of the little bricks.

“Once the doors open, the chattering and clicking starts and a real fun-time begins.”
