Annual exhibition at Platform Gallery in Clitheroe shines bright

An exhibition of the best of British crafts by more than 30 artists is raising Christmas cheer among visitors looking for a quirky and imaginative festive present.

The annual Northern Star event at the Platform Gallery in Clitheroe is running until January 10th 2026 and features a wide range of ceramics, glass, woodwork, jewellery, metalwork and prints.

The items have all been curated by staff at the gallery, which is owned and managed by Ribble Valley Borough Council, from crafts people from across the country.

Jack Shackleton, of the gallery’s supervisors, said: “We’ve scoured the country’s trade exhibitions to pick out the best of the best for the Northern Star event.
