Search is on for prom queen

A Barrowford business is holding a prom open day with a difference on Sunday in aid of Pendleside Hospice.

The Lancashire Wedding House in Gisburn Road is hosting a heat of Miss Prom Model UK 2017 – and is looking for Year 11 girls from local schools to be crowned in the new year.

Rachel Kelly, proprietor, said: “We hope girls will come along to look at our prom dresses on Sunday and enter the competition.

“There will also be a raffe for the hospice on the day. We will be hosting a heat on January 29th, and will have our final 20 applicants come in to our shop to model various outfits on our catwalk. We will have judges who will crown our winner the Face of the Lancashire Wedding House, as well as runner up prizes.”

The winner will go on to the final of Miss Prom Model UK 2017, held in Brighton in the spring.

Scarlett added: “Our winner will go on to compete against winners from other regions across the country for the chance to win a modelling contract and become the face of Tiffany’s 2018 International Campaign and be paid to work at trade shows (with parental consent).”
