And now Kingswood Homes workers Liam Reilly and Luke Kenyon are preparing to take another bold step to raise money for Derian House Children’s Hospice – a sponsored skydive from up to 15,000ft.

Liam and Luke, who work at Kingswood’s Green Hills development in Feniscowles, where a house is being given away in a prize draw to raise funds for the hospice, have signed up to “Dive for Derian”.

Together Liam and Luke are overseeing construction of the property up for grabs in the Great Big House Giveaway – a three-bedroom detached Byre 3 at Green Hills.

Liam rewrote the Madness classic Our House, took on lead vocals and had a starring role in the music video filmed on site at Green Hills to promote the charity prize draw.

Pride in the Job Quality award winner Liam, 39, from Southport, said: “I’ve never skydived before but always wanted to. Derian is such a good charity to support and while our family and colleagues aren’t eligible to buy tickets for the Great Big House Giveaway, they can sponsor us to Dive for Derian.”

Assistant site manager Luke, 27, from Great Harwood, said: “Skydiving is something on a lot of people’s bucket lists including mine and thought I could easily raise £450. I’m fine with heights normally and don’t mind flying but when the doors of the plane open and I’m sitting on the edge ready to jump it might be different.”

Kingswood sales director Lesley Myers said: “The whole team have really embraced Derian House as our charity of the year. From singing and starring in a music video, to skydiving, we’re starting to wonder if there’s anything they won’t do for Derian!”

Bundles of tickets for the Great Big House Giveaway are available from £5 with a chance to win a house worth £250,0000. For tickets and a chance to win see https://derianhouse.charityprizedraws.co.uk.
