Christmas magic returns to award winning Barton Grange Garden Centre
Named as Destination Garden Centre of the Year many times over, this is never more true than at Christmas at Barton Grange.
A visit at this time of year is always something special – full of atmosphere, inspiration, and that unique Barton Grange ‘magic’.
Since joining Blue Diamond garden centres in July, it’s very much business as usual at the North’s best-loved garden centre. The Christmas Collection is open, the singing yetis are back, and festive inspiration fills every corner.

Head of Display David Fawcett-Ropner said: “Barton Grange Christmas is back with all the magic, inspiration, and sparkle our customers love. The decorations are dazzling, the displays are full of wonder, and all the friendly faces you know are still here.”
That personal touch has always defined Barton Grange. From its family roots in 1963 to today’s new chapter under Blue Diamond, it remains a place built on inspiration, community, and care. Alan Roper, Blue Diamond’s Managing Director, said: “When you’re lucky enough for a giant like Barton Grange to be placed into your care, you quickly realise its magic lies in the people who make it special.”
Planning for Christmas begins in January, with themes to suit every style – from bold London Calling and serene Scandi Snowfall to the shimmering Little Mermaid collection. This year also sees the launch of a brand-new Santa’s Grotto Experience, where children journey through the North Pole and make their own keepsake soft toy. Meanwhile, Christmas Late Nights (Nov 15th to 20th Dec, Tues–Sat, 4–8pm) offer relaxed shopping, twinkling displays, and the Riverside Café’s famous hotpot suppers.
The farm shop, brimming with Lancashire favourites – from Honeywell’s turkeys to Barton Grange’s own crumble-topped mince pies, is also definitely worth a visit. Now part of the Blue Diamond family, Barton Grange continues to celebrate everything that makes it special.
