Burnley firm’s name is used in con

Mr Sohail Sarwar, of Reach Global Ltd, based in Church but founded in Burnley, says it has come to his attention that unscrupulous finance operators are claiming to be part of the group – and are even using the company registration number.

“We have several companies under Reach Global, including morethanfinance.com, which is a debt management and loans company.

“It would appear there are people attempting to illegally profit from our good reputation. I would advise people to check very carefully if they are approached by any company claiming to be part of our group, as there’s no guarantee they are working to the same high standards or according to regulatory guidelines.

“People who hand money over for services might find they don’t receive anything in return from this kind of operator.”

Mr Sarwar has reported the matter to the police and told Trading Standards and the Office of Fair Trading.
