Soprano Grace O’Malley set to showcase her voice at Stoller Hall in Manchester
Superb soprano Grace O’Malley, beloved in Burnley, is set to take audiences on a journey from the opera house to the West End.
Grace will perform at Manchester’s Stoller Hall as part of its Emerging Artists Scheme, presenting an hour of music celebrating some of the stage’s most memorable heroines, divas and dreamers.
Grace, who hails from nearby Rossendale, is a familiar face – and voice – at events across Burnley and Padiham, having performed regularly at Royal British Legion events from a very young age.
She said: “I will be accompaned on the piano by James Hendry, which is a huge full circle moment for me as I was a Chethams student and Manchester Cathedral chorister.

“I'm so thrilled to be back up north singing again. It would be lovely to have some familiar faces from Burnley there!”
Her Stoller Hall performance, All the World’s A Stage: Heroines, Divas and Dreamers, will feature music from opera, operetta and musical theatre on Friday, September 17th at 6pm.
The programme will include works by Mozart, Handel, Verdi and Puccini, alongside operetta from Johann Strauss II and Gilbert and Sullivan, before moving to Broadway and the West End with songs by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Grace began her musical training as a chorister at Manchester Cathedral before studying at Chetham’s School of Music and the Junior Royal Northern College of Music.
She went on to continue her training at the Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Now a Stoller Hall Emerging Artist, Grace has performed at prestigious venues including Wigmore Hall and the Royal Festival Hall.
Her operatic credits include work with The Grange Festival, where she covered and sang the role of Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus.
She is also due to perform as Princessa Polowska in Fromental Halévy’s rarely performed La Dame de Pique with Gothic Opera at Battersea Arts Centre.
Away from opera, Grace regularly performs operetta and musical theatre. She has also appeared as a guest artist with Theatrical Adventures on European river cruises and at gala events across Europe.
Grace has been praised by critics for her “sweet tone and impressive storytelling”, while her voice has been described as “bronze coloured” with an “easy top”.
