Comic Carr’s smile therapy

celebrating his tenth year as one of Britain’s most successful comedians, Jimmy Carr is bringing his distinctive, laugh-a-minute humour to Halifax.

Laughter Therapy will be taking place at the Victoria Theatre on Sunday, October 10th.

Following the success of his best-selling DVD, Jimmy Carr: Telling Jokes this is a chance for fans to see the award-winning star of television, radio and stage at his raw, uncensored best.

During the past decade Jimmy Carr has deservedly earned his place among the premier league of British comics with his deadpan and observational style a favourite with comedy lovers.

The London comic’s stand-up achievements to date include a British Comedy Award for Best Live Stand Up Tour, a Loaded LAFTA Award for Best Stand up, a Perrier Award nomination, Best Stand Up at the Time Out Awards and Best On Screen Newcomer from the Royal Television Society.

He has recently finished hosting “Comedy Roast” for Channel Four as well as writing and filming the eighth series of “8 Out Of 10 Cats”, the popular comedy panel show.

Other recent television appearances include “The Graham Norton Show”, “Would I Lie To You?” and “QI”.

He’s no stranger to radio either being a regular guest and interviewer on “Loose Ends” (BBC Radio 4) and “The Fred MacAulay Show” (BBC Radio Scotland).
