Michael Ball classics come to Blackburn
A celebration of the music of Michael Ball is coming to Blackburn’s Thwaites Empire Theatre on Saturday.
“Love Changes Everything” is a salute to the king of the West End musical and pays tribute to his greatest hits, including “Empty Chairs and Empty Tables” and “Bring Him Home” from “Les Miserables”, the haunting “Gesthemene” from “Jesus Christ Superstar” and the glorious “This is the Moment” from “Jekyll & Hyde”.
Michael Courtney, acclaimed as one of the UK’s finest singers and guest artists, with his live band, will present two hours of Michael Ball music, featuring classics such as “Holding Out for a Hero”, “Something Inside So Strong”, and “One Night Only”, with a finale of “Love Changes Everything” from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Aspects of Love”.
Michael Courtney has appeared in West End theatre productions and on tour, including “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, “The Sound of Music”, “West Side Story” and “King Lear”.
