Great stocking filler ideas

A great way to keep the children happy at Christmas and not spend a fortune at the same time is the old fashioned stocking filler.

When I was a young girl, that was my favourite part of the big day, seeing what Father Christmas had left me at the bottom of the bed along with the obligatory orange of course.

These days the stocking fillers are a lot more impressive. Ruaridh (9) and Flora (7) had great fun trying out a few top products from Underground Toys

Flora loved the Tinkerbell POP! Keychain (from £5.99, www.disneystore.co.uk) and the Frozen Pocket Pal (£5.99, https://forbiddenplanet.com) and why wouldn't she, when both are her favourite girly things. The keychain is an ideal addition to the schoolbag along with the Elsa from the hit film Frozen bag clip which also plays a tune from the film as you walk about.

Ruaridh is Harry Potter mad so the Harry Potter POP! Vinyl figure (£14.99, http://store.hmv.com/merchandise/harry-potter-pop-vinyl) proved a bit hit, these collectable figure are great fun as are the Marvel POP! Pen Toppers (from £4.99, www.disneystore.co.uk) and the Marvel Heroes POP! Puzzle (£12.99, http://store.hmv.com), a great way to spend a few hours solving a puzzle.
