No trouble at mill as Burnley sets the scene for hit TV show 'Brassic'

Burnley has again been the scene for filming for the popular TV comedy drama 'Brassic'.

The hit Sky One show, which features popular actress Michelle Keegan, will film some scenes for its third at Walshaw Mill in the town at the end of this month.

Residents living nearby were informed in a letter from Calamity Films and Brassic Kingdom Ltd that permission had been granted for the production over two days, with producers keen to stress all Covid-19 safety regulations would be followed.

The letter states that producers would be adhering to the latest guidelines and were advised by the Government and the British Film Commission, while all crew would be wearing PPE.

Some scenes for the previous series of Brassic were filmed near to the former Gannow Baths in Burnley the year before last, with other scenes shot around Rossendale.

Brassic follows the escapades of chief character Vinnie O'Neill and his five friends in the fictional northern English town of Hawley. The working class group commit various crimes to keep money in their pockets, but as they get older some of them start to wonder if there's more to life away from the town.
