Burnley band Exit State releases new album

BURNLEY rockers Exit State have set their sights on global domination after signing a worldwide deal with Rocksector Records.

The band, who are due to play December’s Hard Rock Hell V in Wales, will release their second album “Black Veins” through the label on October 3rd.

Having released debut album “Death Of A Rockstar” and EP “Bad Days” with King Prawn Records it was decided it would be in the best interests of the lads to change things up for this latest release – a decision backed by all three parties.

The four-piece have enjoyed a scintillating two years with a host of memorable live performance under their belt including support slots with the likes of Marseille, Black Spiders, former AC/DC frontman Dave Evans, The Black Mollys, Blaze Bayley and a hugely successful trip to Hard Rock Hell in Ibiza.

Away from the live circuit the band have been no slouches either, with “Death Of A Rockstar” earning a plethora of plaudits and the video “Lost Beyond Belief” from which topped the Kerrang TV Request Show Chart, rubbing shoulders with chart regulars like Paramore, Stone Sour and Blink 182.

And it’s not just the music world Exit State have their sights set on.

Frontman Roy Bright is heading for the silver screen with a part in the forthcoming horror film “Creepsville” (footage of which was used in the “Lost Beyond Belief” video) and has also landed a key role in the forthcoming TV sitcom Order 69, in which Roy fittingly plays the lead singer in a rock band.

As well as Roy the remaining integral musicians in Exit State are lead guitarist Adam Stephenson, drummer Peat Hicks and bassist Phil Ireland, who has just recently been deputising on bass with Marseille for a short period. The “Black Veins” album also features a guest lead guitar contribution from Gizz Butt (formerly of The Prodigy and more recently of The More I See) on the track “All For You”.

Musically, Exit State are best described as a crossover between rock, pop, alternative, punk and metal, making the band just as likely to be favoured by fans of Nickelback, as fans of Metallica, Foo Fighters or Queens Of The Stone Age.

The new album will benefit from extensive touring during September and October, plus a new video will be filmed early in August, ready for broadcast by September.

Meanwhile, “Check Out The Crazy” from the new album, is being streamed on the band’s official website at www.exitstate.com and the band’s page at the Rocksector Records website www.mwaweb.com/rocksectorbands_exitstate.html.
