Clitheroe’s unbeaten run in the Evo-Stik First Division North came to an end against Scarborough Athletic at Queensgate.

The Blues had gone five games without loss, picking up nine points in that sequence, but they failed to extend that run at the weekend.

A Gary Bradshaw free-kick gave the hosts a sixth minute lead before Thomas Corner netted from the spot at the second attempt on the stroke of half-time.

Ross Dent responded for the visitors with two minutes of normal time remaining but the Seadogs held on for maximum points to bolster their promotion hopes.
