Themis have unveiled a new football scouting course in collaboration with the International Professional Scouting Organisation (IPSO).
Now the only training facility in Lancashire offering the course, the foundation programme - run by international and Premier League scouts - offers the chance to improve scouting skills and knowledge, as well as player and team analysis.
The course is aimed at those currently in football, as well as aspiring scouts, talent spotters, managers, and agents, and is accredited by the world-renowned, industry-backed YMCA awards.
Head of Football at Themis at Burnley College, Brad Pates, said: “Themis are excited to be linking up with IPSO and help deliver this fantastic football scouting course. This is a great, comprehensive Foundation course. It gives a different dimension of understanding about the game that coaches need to help continue their development within the game.’’
The programme will be delivered on Saturday, 22nd and Sunday, 23rd October from 9am to 4.30pm, including experience assessing the Burnley versus Everton match at Turf Moor, with a second course on Saturday, 10th and Sunday, 11th December from , incorporating Burnley’s match against Bournemouth.
Manager of Themis, Stephanie Coleman, said: “This programme will be the start of a great partnership with IPSO leading. It is an exciting opportunity for people who are looking to become scouts, but also a great opportunity for professional and semi-professional scouts to enhance their skills.”
Both courses take place at Themis’ Burnley College Campus, with each costing £350.
