‘Overall I thought we thoroughly deserved it’ - Burnley boss Dyche
The Burnley manager was about to replace the wideman, who was suffering with cramp, but Stanlislas managed to conjure up a delightful curler after Danny Ings raided the right flank, to send the Eagles packing.
Dyche believed it was just reward for an impressive display: “The first half in particular I thought our performance was excellent and some of the quality of our football was really high.
“In the second half they had a spell, as you would expect.

“But overall I thought we thoroughly deserved it.
“It was a tight game and in those situations that moment of quality or a mistake can change it, and I’m pleased to say the moment of quality came with a fine finish from Junior.
“We limited their attempts at goal to scruffy things, not clean things, which was obviously really pleasing from the back four and the keeper’s point of view.”
It proved Stanislas’ last touch, with him unable to celebrate fully with his team mates before being replaced by Keith Treacy: “We were looking to make the change more for his legs.

The players did so, without players of the calibre of Charlie Austin, Chris McCann, Martin Paterson, Brian Stock and Ben Mee, but Dyche said: “It was more about the 90 minutes.
“I’m sure Ian Holloway would argue they should have got something from the game.
“Over the 90 minutes I don’t think so but in the second half you could say it was end to end stuff and there were moments for both teams. Vokesy had an unbelievable chance and there were a couple more after that.

“But overall I thought we deserved the victory.”
