QPR midfielder Joey Barton was hit on the head after a Burnley fan launched a bottle at him.

The incident happened in the 69th minute of the crunch Championship clash as Barton went to receive the ball near the touchline.

Burnley, who won the game 2-0 thanks to goals from Danny Ings, could now face FA disciplinary action.
