Major gas leak causes road closure in Padiham and Hapton
Motorists are advised to avoid a main road through Padiham and Hapton after a major gas leak has forced it to be closed.
Police have just announced that the closure has been put in place from the junction of Manchester Road/East Street/Simpson Street, Hapton, to the junction of Manchester Road/Lancaster Drive, Padiham.
A police spokesman said: "Please try and avoid the area to allow emergency services to deal with the incident."
