To highlight the generosity of kind-hearted individuals and benevolent businesses, the Burney Express posted one act of kindness each day from December 1st until Christmas Eve.

5. Day 5
Colleagues at the Burnley Express bought gifts and toys for the annual Burnley Together Christmas Present Appeal instead of holding their usual 'Secret Santa. 6. Day 6
The Rotary Club of Burnley and Pendleside brought festive cheer to the town with its Senior Christmas Party. The group invited around 40 elderly people and care home residents to the annual event on Friday to enjoy an evening of food and entertainment at Belvedere and Calder Vale Rugby Club. Rotarians sang Christmas carols while Ross & Tom performed a mixture of golden oldies and Christmas hits. 7. Day 7
Eye-catching bobble hats for teenage girls and boys were donated to the Burnley Together Christmas Present Appeal by well-known personal trainer Michelle Williamson, of Worsthorne. Michelle sells the hats and other items every year at Christmas fairs and festive events and did not hesitate to donate a selection to the Burnley Express backed appeal. Photo: Na
8. Day 8
Staff at Morty's Cafe in Padiham Road, Burnley, welcomed Father Christmas for a weekend of present giving. The free event was hosted by cafe owner Toni-Anne Mortimer to help families who may be struggling with the cost of Christmas this year. She asked for donations of selection boxes for the event for Santa to give to all his little visitors. Photo: NA
