Four deny cocaine supply charge

Four men denied a conspiracy to supply crack cocaine when they appeared before Burnley Crown Court. A fifth defendant admitted the charge.

Syed Bukari, of Edge End Avenue, Brierfield; Naeem Akram, of Chapelhouse Road, Nelson; Syed Hassan, of Napier Street, Nelson and Majid Khalid, of Hartley Street, Nelson, are alleged to have conspired to supply the Class A drug between November 13th and December 18th last year.

Their trial will take place on April 22nd and is expected to last between seven and 10 days.

Nadeem Abbas, of Bank Street, Nelson, pleaded guilty and will be sentenced at the end of the trial.

All five men were remanded on bail.
