Crews from Burnley, Padiham and Nelson spent 90 minutes extinguishing a fire on the roof of a building on Ford Street.

Three fire engines attended the scene just before 9-30am yesterday (Saturday).

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one positive ventilation fan, one ceiling hook and lighting to extinguish the fire."
