Firefighters extinguish blaze at derelict pub

Firefighters have tackled a blaze at a derelict Burnley pub.

Two fire engines and crews, from Burnley and Nelson, were called out to the Adelphi Hotel in Adelphi Street just after 4-45pm on Saturday.

Two firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used a hosereel jet to extinguish a fire on a staircase. There were no casualties.
