Fire crews rescue cows from slurry pit in Chipping

Firefighters spent three hours rescuing three cows that got stuck in a slurry pit last night.

Crews from Preston and Penwortham were called to Parsonag Lane in Chipping at 7-10pm.

They used a gas monitor, lighting, a farmyard telehandler and large animal rescue equipment to rescue the animals.
