Police have warned owners of motorbikes and scooters in Burnley to be vigilant after a spate of thefts across town.

Burnley Neighbourhood Police confirmed there had been a recent spate of smaller motorbikes and scooter thefts across Burnley.

This includes a report of a larger motorbike which was chained to a ground anchor.

A police spokesman said: "It may be worth going to extra lengths to ensure your bikes aren't targetted whilst this thief is active."
