A blaze involving two vehicles was tackled by fire crews from Burnley.

Two fire crews from Burnley rushed to a blaze involving two vehicles on Balderstone Lane at around 4am today (April 24).

Firefighters extinguished the fire using two hose reels, a saw and a hooligan tool - a forcible entry tool used by firefighters and law enforcement.

The cause of the fire is now under joint investigation with police.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two fire crews from Burnley attended a fire involving two vehicles on the roadway on Balderstone Lane, Burnley.

"Crews were in attendance approximately fifty minutes and a joint investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway."
