A Burnley man has been sentenced to 35 months in prison after pleading guilty to two offences of handling stolen goods.

Michael Royal (30), from Burnley, was sentenced in relation to a number of burglaries across the Burnley and Pendle area.

A spokesman for Burnley and Padiham Police said: "Michael Royal, aged 30, from the Burnley area has been sentenced to 35 months imprisonment after pleading guilty to two offences of handling stolen goods in relation to a number of burglaries across the Burnley and Pendle area.

"This is a result of a joint investigation between the Burnley and Pendle Taskforces.".
